I know very little about the place so often named as my hometown, the place where my parents grew up. Though spoken of as if it were mine, it feels distant, almost abstract. I imagine their childhoods unfolding there, merging with the damp and rough textures of my faint memories. Society may have changed rapidly, widening the generational gap, yet history continues to move forward, and life keeps arriving and fading without pause...
