Xinyu Huang is an artist working primarily with photography, and occasionally with video, text, and other media. She is currently based between Dundee, Scotland and Chongqing, China.

Her practice revolves around a heightened sensitivity to the complexity and fragility of the world — an awareness born within the conditions of the modern wasteland — exploring the shifting state of individual self-awareness in a rapidly transforming world, and the quiet, unstoppable flow of time.

Her current work focuses on history, memory, consciousness and primal life force — on both individual and collective levels. She tries to, as both a member of human society and a tiny speck of dust in the universe, reflect on individual existence and the unfolding of human life as a way of being in the world.
